About Blackmouth Games

Blackmouth Games, established in 2017 in Madrid, Spain, is a development studio specializing in next-generation Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games.

The studio has been working on game development utilizing blockchain technology from an early stage, aiming to build a seamless Web3 gaming ecosystem where traditional gaming and blockchain technology merge, while unifying player communities.In 2019, the studio successfully developed Europe’s first real-time battle royale system.

Additionally, Blackmouth Games collaborates with industry-leading technology providers such as Improbable, Amazon Web Services, and Epic Games to build cutting-edge online infrastructure for game development. This infrastructure enables a game environment where thousands of players can participate simultaneously, fostering real-time player interactions and smooth physics simulations (Note 1).

Currently, Blackmouth Games is advancing the development of “Domenation,” a next-generation MMO that combines real-time player interaction with blockchain technology to deliver a unique gaming experience.

About Domenation

Domenation is a highly competitive third-person shooting game set in a virtual world, where players battle against creatures and other players on a massive map.

Up to 42 players can participate in a match, with each round lasting approximately 12 minutes. The game is designed to trigger “pulses” every few minutes.

A “pulse” deals damage across the entire area of the map. Before a pulse occurs, players must take shelter in “domes” that periodically appear on the map. With each pulse, the number of domes decreases, creating intense combat zones. In the final round, players must fight for survival within the last remaining dome.

Additionally, in Domenation, physics engines and AI-driven simulations are applied in real time, dynamically shaping the game world based on players’ actions and decisions.

Players can adapt to the evolving environment, develop unique strategies, and engage in intense competition with other players.

Furthermore, blockchain technology is employed to facilitate in-game economic activities such as trading items and managing land ownership among players. This unique and innovative approach has attracted significant attention from the gaming and tech communities.

Utilization of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens)

Domenation’s game economy adopts a “Free-To-Play” model and offers NFTs to enhance player engagement. These NFTs can be exchanged on the marketplace by collecting in-game items, and users who acquire them are granted full ownership, turning them into actual crypto assets.

The game features attractive elements for players, such as season-based collectible items, ticketed events, and the ability to customize and exchange NFT assets.

This approach bridges the gap for Web2 players, who have traditionally played conventional games, to enter the Web3 space, with the goal of delivering a completely new shooting game experience.

Future Developments

By 2025, a mobile version of Domenation is planned for release, enabling players to enjoy the game on their smartphones. Additionally, new maps, game modes, and user-generated content (UGC) features will be introduced, allowing players to create their own in-game content. The game’s competitive edge will be further enhanced with the introduction of spaceships as transportation and the organization of tournament events.

In 2026, a new Domenation game release and the production of an anime series are planned, aiming to bring the appeal of Domenation to a wider audience. This will further expand the game world, continuously providing players with new and exciting experiences.
