Pacific Meta Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shota Iwasaki; “Pacific Meta”) is pleased to announce that its CEO, Shota Iwasaki, has been appointed an official Claude Ambassador (Claude Community Ambassador) by Anthropic, the U.S. company behind the AI assistant Claude. Serving as the Community Leader for the blockchain domain, and under his vision of making blockchain the infrastructure of AI economic activity, Iwasaki will launch a blockchain-focused Claude community in Japan.

About the Claude Community Ambassadors program

Claude Community Ambassadors is Anthropic’s official program that appoints individuals to lead Claude communities. Ambassadors are appointed as Community Leaders for a city or a specialized domain and host communities in their respective areas. Their activities are listed on Anthropic’s official event calendar (https://luma.com/claudecommunity). Iwasaki is in charge of the blockchain domain.

Background: making blockchain the infrastructure of AI economic activity

The actors of economic activity are expanding from humans to AI. AI agents can already purchase services, receive payments, and manage assets on their own. Existing financial infrastructure, however, was not designed for AI: bank accounts and credit cards require identity verification, and an AI cannot hold them in its own name. The only infrastructure that allows an AI to act as a paying entity is a blockchain wallet, with stablecoins as its settlement currency. Iwasaki identified this structure early and has pursued his vision of making blockchain the infrastructure of AI economic activity through both his consulting business and hands-on practice at his own company. Meanwhile, few communities anywhere in the world share practical knowledge at the intersection of AI and blockchain. With this appointment, Iwasaki will launch the first such community in Japan.

Comment from Shota Iwasaki, President and CEO of Pacific Meta Inc.

I run both management and development side by side with Claude, and every day I feel AI becoming the main actor in how we work. What comes next is an era in which AI becomes the main actor in economic activity. I want to build that foundation on blockchain and realize an autonomous economy driven by AI. I will grow this community as a place to meet the people building that same future.

Upcoming activities

As the Community Leader for the blockchain domain, Iwasaki will host quarterly community events for practitioners in the field. The first event, themed “Crypto is the infrastructure of the AI economy,” will be held in Tokyo on September 3, 2026. Details: https://luma.com/claude-vg5s
